SO&U Creative Professionals Win Free Trip to France

For coming out tops in the keenly contested MAD Laifer’s category at the recent Lagos Advertising and Idea Festival (LAIF) Awards, two creative staff of SO &U, a leading advertising agency in Lagos have been offered the opportunity to visit France for next year’s Cannes Award which is the world’s biggest annual awards show and festival for professionals in the creative communications industry.

The duo, Arthur Mazi and Sandra Ebulu came up with a brilliant communication plan for “Breaking the cycle” of selling votes in Nigeria.The idea was to create a communication plan to encourage a break from the past where a select few sold their votes for pecuniary gains.

 Reacting to the honour, Mr. Arthur Mazi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to express their creative potential. He attributed their success at the award to supportive colleagues and a work environment that encourages creativity. Also speaking at the special occasion to honour the two winners the agency’s creative director Mr. Anthony Ekun stressed that only the best is good enough for SO &U. He added “we always strive to excite our clients and the advertising industry with creative ideas and impressive communication campaigns”

 In his comments, the company’s Group Managing Director, Mr. Udeme Ufot commended the award recipients for their effort and encouraged them to always strive for creative excellence. He thanked the LAIF management board for creating an avenue for young advertising practitioners to showcase their talent. It will be recalled that SO&U won 2 bronze at the award ceremony courtesy of their creative campaign with Guinness

The recently held Lagos Advertising and Idea Festival (LAIF) is a platform for recognizing improvements in the quality of creative craft. The main aim is to promote the spirit of healthy competition amongst agencies and advertising practitioners.
