Tecno Unveils latest Phantom A3 in the Nigerian Market
In its tradition to consistently appeal to the Nigerian smart phone users without compromising on quality and taste,Tecno Mobile has launched the Phantom A3 in the Nigerian market.Phantom A3 was unveiled during a press briefing event which took place at the prestigious Oriental Hotel in Lagos on Monday.
The recently launched Phantom has a A313MP and 8MP front and rear camera, a 6.0″ Capacitive HD Touch screen, 3.75G Network capability, 1.5GHz Quad Core Processor, 16GB ROM + 1 GB RAM, Dual Sim Capability access to millions of apps and a newer version of Jellybean.
Speaking during the unveiling event, Vice President, Tecno Group, Arif Chowdhury said that the new Phantom A3 from Tecno Group is in sync with its operational model. ‘‘Phantom A3 is a milestone for mobile users in the Nigeria. In Nigeria, smartphone is fast becoming fashionable and Tecno ensures its range of affordable product does not compromise on quality. Tecno targets both the youth and adult market since Nigeria is the fastest growing population of phone users in Africa. Nigeria is the core market for Tecno; hence quality and affordability are our major objectives and we are very glad to partner with Etisalat too’’.
The screen of the new Tecno Phantom A3 is big enough to display all what that big processor will process, it has 6.0inches capacity HD touch screen. Tecno Phantom A3 also has the capability of running a network capacity of 3.75G and with it you have direct access to Facebook, whatsapp, palmchat among others including over 1,000,000 applications available for downloads.
The new device could run on the same 1.2GHz quad-core processor as its predecessor, and may likely come with the JellyBean 4.3 Android OS (so don’t expect an Android KitKat for now).We also expect the Phantom A3 to sport a bigger internal memory of 8GB – although ‘tiny’ when compared to smartphones within its range – would be an improvement from the Phantom A2 which has a meagre 4GB memory.
In terms of features, we should expect a flurry of pre-installed apps, especially Blackberry Messenger (BBM) (yeah, there’s BBM on TECNO phones now) and possibly bundled plans with a leading telecom company. We don’t expect much improvement, in terms of camera, as it could still sport a 13MP rear camera with 8MP front facing camera just like the Phantom A2, or even battery, although this could be upped a little notches from its predecessor. And of course, there’s a 99.9% probability that it will be a dual-SIM smartphone, as with most of TECNO’s smartphones.
